The joint construction of the "Precision Medical Technology Innovation Center" by SIIT and SDIIT

On April 18, 2023, the Precision Medical Technology Innovation Center jointly built by Shandong Institute of Industrial Technology for Health Sciences and Precision Medicine (SIIT) and Shandong Institutes of Industrial Technology (SDIIT) was officially launched. Nine expert leaders, including Zhao Guoping, Sun Dianyi, Lv Jiantao, and Liu Dezhi, jointly participated in the launch ceremony of the Precision Medical Technology Innovation Center. The Precision Medical Technology Innovation Center will focus on the precision medical industry, carry out research and development of major key common and cutting-edge technologies, focus on breaking through key core technologies, promote the transfer, transformation, and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements through Industry University Research Cooperation, provide continuous source technology supply for regional and industrial development, promote high-quality development of the industry, and assist in the comprehensive implementation of the "Healthy China" and "Healthy Shandong" strategies.

Academician Zhao Guoping gave an academic report titled "CRISPR based Next Generation Diagnostic Technology - Function Discovery, Technological Invention and Industrial Transformation", focusing on CRISPR/Cas system, gene editing, CRISPR-Dx, precision medicine, etc., and combining with CRISPR's case in COVID-19 detection, he introduced in detail the application of CRISPR system and gene editing technology in diagnosis and detection.
