The LSCM（Established Joint Laboratory） of SIIThas been Put into Use

The Leica STELLARIS 5 laser scanning confocal Microscopy (LSCM) of Shandong Institute of Industrial Technology for Health Sciences and Precision Medicine (SIIT) was officially launched on December 15, 2023.

The Power HyD detector family provides higher photon detection efficiency (PDE)* extremely low dark noise, and sensitive spectral detection from 410 to 850 nm.STELLARIS unique TauSense technology allows you to extract an extra layer of information from every sample and increase the scientific impact of your research. TauSense is comprised of application-oriented imaging tools based on fluorescence lifetime that you can use to explore the function of molecules within the cellular context. Streamlined setup and acquisition: ImageCompass, the STELLARIS smart user interface, provides users with an easy and intuitive way to set up even the most complex experiments with just a few clicks.

This device can be used for ultra-high resolution imaging of biological samples and nanomaterials such as tissue slicing, cells, zebrafish, nematodes, fruit flies, mice, etc, as well as long-term imaging of living cells and organoids. It can be used for research in disciplines such as cell biology, neurobiology, tumor biology, developmental biology, biomaterials, microbiology, botany, zoology, etc.
